the shot at Cleburne High Mon-
day. Davis entered the county meet
aS an afterthought and the first
time he ever threw the iron ball
he got 37 feet.
That's mighty darn good for a
fella his first time.
With a little tutoring Davis
might be made into- a winner for
the district meet at Hillsboto. He
threw the shot around 40 feet on
Monday afternoon by making the
heave as be would a baseball. He
has not learned how to use his
