of symbol or give any kind of hand
sign to prove that He was the Son of
God and Saviour of the world. His
words and deeds were all that was
necessary
Since none of us can lead perfect
lives like our Lord and Saviour, all of
us are going to fail at times in our
efforts to serve God and our
fellowman.
But our Christian faith can see us
through these moments of seeming
failure. And if we submit our life to
the will of God, we will be able to
work great wonders.
Once our life is changed through
God’s Holy Spirit, then we can begin
to change the lives of our family,
friends and all those with whom we
come into contact each day.
Our life becomes a reflection of the
life of Christ our Lord.
In 2 Corinthians 3:18 we read,
"And all of us, as we reflect the
Lord's glory in our unveiled faces,
are being changed by that glory into
the same likeness, namely, to the
very same glory which comes from
theLord, who is the Spirit.”
All of us can reflect the Lord’s
glory in our faces and in what we say
and do.
Through this means we become
signs of God's saving grace and the
wonders of His love.

met Tuesday, May 1 at 2 p.m. There
were 7 members and Rev. Marek
present President called the
meeting to order and Rev. Marek
had the opening prayer. A song,
“Praise Him, Praise Him,” fol-
lowed. Scripture reading was from
the Book of Proverbs Chapter
31:2-10-31, the Capable Wife. Also, a
reading for Mothers Day entitled
“The Ideal Woman.”
Another song, "Take Time To Be
Holy" was sung while the freewill
offering was taken. Lesson study
was from the Book of Hebrews 5th
chapter, “Jesus the High Priest,”
and a warning against abandoning
the faith. It was read and well
explained by Rev. Marek.
In absence of the secretary, there
were no minutes. The treasurers
report was accepted as read.

Every culture has various signs
and symbols which distinguish it
from others.
The bow of the East, the
handshake of the West, the kiss or
embrace. All of these are accepted
as signs of affection and goodwill.
The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts
have certain hand signs which mean
something to those in that organiza-
tion.
There are also badges and pins
which are signs of membership to
various organizations such as the
Lions and Rotary Club.
Lodges, service clubs and socie-
ties have their own symbols which in
some way signify the purpose of that
organization.
In the Christian faith, there are
various symbols which indicate the
nature of that faith. One of the most
central of these is the cross, which
symbolizes the life. suffering, death
and resurrection of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ.
One of the best signs of God’s love
for all mankind was Jesus Himself.
Christ’s birth as a human being, His
perfect life and His sacrifice for our
sins is the most wonderful sign that
we have of God's love for us.
But signs of God's love don’t end
there AH Christians are called to be
signs of God’s love. And we are to be
witnesses to Christ.
Just wearing a symbol like a cross
or a fish on our suit, dress or shirt
doesn’t prove that we are Christians.
It also means nothing to have
various religious symbols or
pictures in our homes, in our cars or
at work if we aren't demonstrating
our faith and love for God by our
everyday actions.
Our actions - what we say and do
-- is what symbolizes our love for
God and God's love for us and all
mankind
Jesus didn't have to wear any kind
