al Director, Ray Hughston. All

ble-ringceremony Saturday, July
13, at United Methodist Church
of Ingleside with Rev. Billy Ham-
mond officiating
The bride is the daughter of Mr
and Mrs Bob Richardson of Ing-
leside. The groom is thesonofMr
and Mrs. James Neal Griffis, Sr. of
Aransas Pass
Darlene Welborn was organist
for the ceremony
White satin bows with silk
Lilies of the Valley decorated the
pews. The bows were accented
, with gold rings and white doves.
Sprays of mums and baby’s
breath decorated the altar.
The fathers of the bride and
groom gave the couple in mar-
riage. The bride wore a gown de-
signed by her mother. The white
treasurer; Lana farley, tailt-
wister; and guiding lion for the
club, Margo Crosby.
The meeting was held as a
training session for club presi-
dents, secretaries and treasurers
to familiarize them with the
duties and problems concerning
each office. Past District Gov-
ernor, Ike Boling, a key speaker at
the meeting, asked each club
president to explain what their
club’s goals are for this year, and
Stella Gilliam responded by
saying that since the Ingleside
Lions Club is a newly formed
club, one of the main goals will be
to increase its membership.

The bride is a 1991 graduate of
Ingleside High School and plans
to attend Del Mar College in the
spring semester to study account-
ing. The groom is a graduate of
Leesville High School, Leesville,
Louisiana and will graduate from
CBM Education Center of Corpus
Christi.
The couple is at home in Aran-
sas Pass
Lions Club attends meeting
Lions and Lioness Clubs from
throughout the Coastal Bend met
in Robstown to attend the Charlie
Allison Forum held on July 20th.
Members representing the Ing-
leside Lions Club were Stella Gil-
liam, president; Penny Wilkins,
bridal satin gown featured a por-
trait collar and four foot train.
The collar was accented with
embroidered roses and clusters of
three pearls rising from the roses
towards the top of the collar The
scalloped lace of the hem line was
detailed in pearls and opalescent
sequins which also added rich-
ness to the double hearts beaded
on the bodice.
The bride’s headpiece was of
satin roses accented with silk flor-
al pieces and pearls She carried a
bouquet of white silk roses
accented with tiny black roses
and black lace and pearls
Shari Kinstley served as maid
of honor She wore a black satin
tea length dress with white satin
portrait collar. Her headpiece
was made up of black and white
silk roses. Her bouquet matched
that of the bride

Following the wedding cere-
mony, a reception was held in the
church fellowship hall
The bride’s cake was a two tier
cake decorated with white roses
and topped with a miniature
groom carrying his bride. It was
accompanied by a heart arch with
glittering opalescent beads and
flowers.

Local church welcomes new minister
The First Baptist Church of
Ingleside has voted to call Brother
Donald F. French as its new
pastor.
Brother French was licensed to
preach in 1977 and ordained in
1980 by the Spring Baptist
Church of Spring, Texas. He re-
ceived a BA degree from Criswell
Bible College in May of 1981.
He has served as pastor of the
Second Baptist Church in Jacinto
City, Texas and Roganville Bap-
tist Church in Roganville, Texas.
He has also served as pastor of
