Efforts are underway to estab-
lish a memorial for the members
of the armed forces buried at
Prairie View Cemetery
A preliminary survey of milit-
ary markers at Prairie View pro-
duced approximately 345 names
However, there are many grave
sites not marked and the Prairie
View Cemetery Association is re-
lying on friends and family to
supply them with this informa-
tion if they wish
The veterans served in the Civil
War, the Spanish-American War,
World War l.World War ll, Korea,
Vietnam and some served in two
wars. Wherever they served, the

she was widowed. Mrs. Nyland
spent most of her life in Olmsted
Falls, Ohio as a homemaker. She
and her husband retired to Aran-
sas Pass in April 1979 She was an
active member of West Park
Christian Reformed Church of
Cleveland, Ohio for many years

member of the First Prsbyterian
Church and an early volunteer for
the Christian Service Center

July*26, after a long illness.
Mrs. Borden was a homemaker
and a student at Texas A&l Uni-
versity.
She is survived by her husband,

Leslie Michelle Borden and Kodie
Lynne Borden, both of Woods-
boro; her father, W.F. Mircovich
of Ingleside; a sister, Debbie Belt
of Ingleside; two stepsisters, De-
borah Wood of Ingleside and Ste-
va Maley of San Antonio; and a
brother, John Perry of Ingleside.
Funeral services were held at 2
p.m. Sunday at First Baptist
Church of Woodsboro. Burial fol-
lowed in LaRosa Cemetery in
Woodsboro.
