Ingleside High School joined Rep. Robert Earley in Austin.
LUNCH Chill Dog, Cheese,

students were briefed on the va-
rious forms of college financial
aid that was available to them.
“I’m a big advocate for continuing
education. I didn’t want these
students to limit their choices be-
cause of their financial situation.
I would hope that they would all
pursue a college degree, but if
they choose not to do so it
shouldn’t be because of monetary
reasons. There’s money out there
for young people who want to go
to college,” Rep. Earley said.
“It was a super experience.
What could be more rewarding
than watching young minds ex-
panding their horizons? I’m
already looking forward with
anticipation to next year’s prog-
ram,” Earley concluded.

Representative Robert Earley
of Portland said he was pleased
that the first year of the newly
created Capital Scholars program
was such a success.
“My favorite part of being a
state legislator is the opportuni-
ties it affords me to meet with
young people,” Earley said.
“I had really high expectations
for the program and it could not
have worked out better. It’s really
great to see 22 high school seniors
discover the legislative process. It
was really a rewarding experi-
ence for me,” Earley remarked.
Twelve high schools from Bee,
Karnes, and San Patricio counties
participated in the intensive
three-day learning program.
From Ingleside High School,
Michelle Warren and Marcus
Escobedo participated in the
program.
Earley said students met with
representatives from the Gov-
ernor, Lt. Governor, and Speaker
of the House’s office.
“Based on the student’s com-
ments, talking with Texas Attor-
ney General Dan Morales and
listening to lobbyists and mem-
bers of the media discuss their
role in government seemed to go
over big with the student. You
know what was so surprising?

Arthur Steiger had a problem. He had three Medicare supplements to cover
the "gaps" in coverage for charges Medicare approves, but does not fully pay.
Yet, he still had to travel all the way in to Corpus Christi to receive full coverage.
When you live outside of Robstown, that's a pretty long haul.
Arthur Steiger had a problem. Now, Arthur has PREMIER J1EALTH. If you're
65 or older, it's the only Medicare supplement you need. PREMIER HEALTH
allows you to use your local physician and your local community hospital.
Plus, PREMIER HEALTH has automatic claim filing to Medicare that
eliminates all paperwork for the patient.
