will be at home in San Angelo this
week where Sgt. Soules is station-
ed at Goodfellow Field, following
their marriage in the Central Bap-
tist Church at 9 o’clock. Friday

the Brownwood Baptist Church, of-
ficiated for the double ring cere-
mony as the bridal party gathered
before an altar banked by palms
and baskets of pink gladlola and
arrangements of orchid dahlias.
The bride, the former Miss Birdie
Lee Peterson, was given in mar-
riage by her father, Mr. Gus Pet-
erson. She chose a bridal gown of
white satin and Chantilly lace. her

witnessed statement: “When I
returned from service. I faced
the problem of rebuilding my-
self physically. I was in a gen-
eral run-down condition.

Mrs. Robert Strickland is

charge of the Hallowe'en Carni-
val. which the council voted to
hold; Mrs. R. L. Akins, program
chairman, asked the presidents
for their units to decide what pro-
gram they wanted to study during
the year, and offered to attend the
executive meetings of each in
<order to instruct officers as to the
duty of each.
Mrs. Bill Hargroves, health
chairman, announced that 140
cards were sent out and 100
.children were examined in the
July Round-Up. The group went
on record thanking a!! who as-
sisted with the Round-Up.
The next City Council of PTA
meeting was set for September 15
at 9a. m. in the City Hall.
The group went on record as
endorsing the school board's plan
for enlarging the Brady schools by
supporting a proposed bond elec-
tion.
