grade football team lost 22-0
in their season opener at
Brazos last week.
The Eagles did not score, but
played hard on offense. The
defense was led by Victor
Martinez, Jason Crawford,
and Brenton Robinson.
Lexington returns to action
Thursday at 5 p.m. in Rose-

Giddings Athletic Booster
Club met the last three Friday

a.m.
The annual Athletic Booster
Club barbecue held Aug. 24
was a success. "Meet the Buffs
Night," Sept. 1, brought out
many parents, students, and
community members to meet
the '97 Athletes of Giddings
ISD.
The Booster Club has many
projects in the mill and wel-
comes anyone interested in at-
tending. Coach McCaig gives
weekly reports on all the
teams, boys and girls.
The fantastic game between
Giddings and LaGrange was
shown on film with Coach
McCaig’s comments following
the business meeting.
The next meeting will be Fri-
day, Sept. 20, 6:30 a.m. at
Texas Grill.
