The festival will be home base for
outstanding Texas characters: yarn-
spinners, houndsmen, oxen drivers,
ranchers, cowboys, rodeo pro-
ducers. champion bull riders and
laconic home traders.
There will be a fun center for kids
called “Barnyard Doing*” where
the youngsters can learn to make
pioneer children’s toys. They can
work with hand-loom weaving,
paint folk posters or make pottery.
They can play in a giant haystack,
see-saw or jump rope.
