hair under the water and
start shampooing, massage
your hair and scalp vigor-
ously. Rinse off suds with a
spray attachment and repeat
the process twice. Lather
your body thoroughly with
your favorite soap and scrub
your body with wash cloth
and brush. Scrub till you
feel fresh and clean all over.
Now spray rinse all the soap
suds. Make absolutely sure
your skin is completely soap
free before you leave the tub.
Rub your hair and body as
dry as possible with a soft
turkish towel.
Apply aprescribed amount
of creme hair conditioner
(directions are printed on
the bottle as a rule) to your
hair and distribute it even-
ly with a brush or comb. Tuck
the hair under a large plastic
bag so that the conditioner
will be able to gradually treat
your hair. If your problem is
dry skin apply a thin coating
of cream to your face, and
throat, massaging it into your
skin with your fingertips. Le-
ave on for about 5 minutes
and gently tissue it off. The
time limit for most creme
hair conditioners is usually
20 minutes so you hav 15
more minutes to work while
you’re waiting. So use this
time toapply your face mask,
and to shave or creme away
super fous hair. When the 15
minutes is up, the rinsing
cycle begins. Shower away
the cream conditioner, face
mask, and depilatory (if you
used one). In this one ope-
ration, you will be complet-
ing the finishing touches to
three very important beauty
treatments. Now towel your-
self dry and coat every inch
of your body with a good
brand ofbooy auconand some
fragrant and soothing bath
powder. Brush and set your
hair, and while you’re under
the dryer with the help of a
mirror, and a tray of cosme-
tics, you can begin the de-
lightful procedure of putting
on your make-up. This is
your day to experiment.
Try new shades of every-
thing and new methods of ap-
plication (ideas and direc-
tions come printed with the
products on the market).
Most manufacturers of cos-
metics make mini and trial -
size portions of their make-
up, at mini prices too, so
experimenting need not be
an expensive proposition. r

How about a Happy New
Day for a Happy New Year?
My day can be observed any
time, in the beginning, mid-
dle or end of the week. The
main thing is to celebrate it
in the right way.
It’s important to under-
stand the purpose, plan and
program of My Day if you
want the best results. My
day is a break from the ten-
sion and monotony of every
day chores and the same rou-
tine. Start as early as you
can (without depriving ne-
cessary attention to absolute
essentials) and claim all the
precious time thereafter for
yourself and positiveprog-
ram of self improvement.
A transformation for the
better is always a construc-
tive way to be selfish. To be
beautiful, more interesting,
and knowledgable for those
we love is an act of dedica-
tion and everyone shares in
the reward. •
Since cleanliness is next
go Godliness, let’s start this
special day with a relaxing
and luxurious bath. (The
hurry up showers are too
often a part of the everyday
routine.) Fill the tub with
hot, or warm water, (as you
prefer) and add some plea-
santly scented bath oil to
