Our priceless heritage embodied in
the flag of the United States, is as
alive today as it was when written
for the ages in the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution.
It stands for all the world to see and
for all Americans to cherish. And in
the tradition of Washington, Jeffer-
son, and Hamilton, we, too, have a
privilege, a right, and a duty. While
we may disagree as to the methods,
we should not disagree as to the goal
-that of preserving the greatest
democratic society the world has
ever known.

Our flag is a symbol, not of senti-
ment, but of history, the history of
men and women willing to live and
die for it. Surely this willingness is
with us still, because daily we expe-
rience more of the blessings that are
ours-ours because we are Americans.

THE HUNTERS
The nip of Fall is in the air-*— “Old Blue” is
sniffin’ in the wind and the hunters are looking
for game. Some will be looking for birds, others
for smal four-footed variety. Many will be stalk-
ing the bigger game of the mountain regions.
How fortunate for our hunters that this great
land of ours still provides such a great variety
of game. In the past there were many more
varieties available for the hunters, but over the
years, man’s increasing needs for space and
resources have reduced some of our wildlife to
the point of near extinction. But, by keeping in
mind and adhering to the rules and regulations
that have been established to conserve our game
and wildlife, our hunters may continue to look
forward to good hunting. aa
