General Holds Opinion Pursuit

TRAILS CENTER THERE
Pershing Last Heard From
Tuesday—Aeroplanes at

It is the opinion of General Fun-
ston that the pursuit of Francisco
• Villa ha s carried advanced cavalry
j columns of the expedition.*!v force
। a considerable distance south of
('hihuahua City probably as far -
Satevo. This belief is n"t bssed on
'official information but on Ihe as-
! sumption that General Fei shin.; is
'following the outlaw along the route
he Is reported by various sources to I
have taken.
Satevo is about forty miles due
south of Chihuahua. General Fm.-
jston said Thursday morning it is
1 probable American cava try troops
thaxe already reached that point. At
jany rate they are out of range of
• communication.
From Satevo a well beaten trail
I leads to Parral. SO miles distant and
trails branch off from it to other
! poinfti in the territory. South of
! Parral a trail leads on to Torreon.
; In revolutionary activiti s of the
j last few years many rebel bands
: sought Satevo as their objective.
•»nce on the trails leading south they
felt secure from pursuit from larger
and sloxver moving forces.
Living Off Country.
If I’nited States soldiers have
penetrated to and beyond Satevo in
a spurt to overhaul the fleeing bap-
Idit. it is probable loth men and
horses are living off r h? country.
The main bod: of troops Is far in
the rear and. a« far s is known
(here arrangements hav® not been
Imade for extension of the line of
communication and the transporta-
hion of supplies beyond the Guerrero
district.
| General Pershing xvas las? heard
| from Tuesday afternoon and the
'operation^ for sox oral days in a<l-
'vance of that date are known only
in a general way at headquarters j
The Tuesday dispatch told of the de-
|feat of a Villista band by a squadron
“f the Tr-nth cavalry commanded by
('olone! Brown. This engagement oc-
• urred Saturday April 1 and Col-
lonel Brown was last reported to be;
pursuing the enemy through th-* 1
:tnwn of San Antonio 40 miles east I
f Guerrero.
A trail leads southeast from a
point near San Antonio to Satevo;
| the distance is 60 miles It Is not
(improbable that in the five days
; since Broxvn wag last reported at
San Antonio his squadron has ne-
k'otiated the stretch to Satevo and
is now ex en farther south accord-
. ing tn officers. A march of GO
miles in five .days could be made
| without taxing the strength of men
or horses.
May Be Hot on Trail.
This line of reasoning leads .0 th?
belief that American cavalry. in
comparatively good condition may
bp hnt on the trail of Villa "some-
where south nf Satevo."
The Seventh and Tenth regiments
of cavalry have bornp the brunt of
f he actual chase nf Villa according
to reports from the front. Dotaoh-
ments of ten troops of the Sexentn
figured in the surprise attack on the
Villa band at Guerrero March 29
and a squadron of the other organi-
zation muted the enemy in the sec-
ond fight of the expedition.
Although nothing is known of the
movements of the regiments in the
last fexx days it is believed they still
form the advanced columns and are
keeping up their record of seemingly
•tireless xvork.

TTAS life lost its zest? Do you suffer pretty constantly 1 J
11 from nervous depression—“the blues?” !
Very often this state of things is brought on by poor elimin-
ation. Constipation is the underlying cause of many a case
of “nerves” as any doctor will tell you.
Once get rid of constipation permanently and you will be 9
amazed at the transformation in your health and spirits. 9
Laxatives and cathartics won’t cure you of constipation.
They give only temporary relief and tend to form a habit
which is exceedingly dangerous.
But you will find in Nujol a rational means of restoring normal '
healthful bowel activity. Nujol is a pure white mineral oil conform-
ing to all the requirements of the Lane treatment for constipation which
physicians everywhere are now prescribing as the safest and most effect-
ive means of restoring normal bowel activity. I
It is not a laxative but a lubricant. Being entirely mechanical in its
K action it may be taken in any quantity without harm. J
' Nujol is colorless odorless and tasteless. a
