Woman charged with forgery after police review video
Winners of the Alvin ISD Christmas card design and verse con-
test were presented with the framed original of their work and
special certificates at the December school board meeting.
School Board members Pete Vincent and Jerry Crawford con-
gratulated Casey Dworaczyk from Passmore for his winning
design and Erin Medve from Harby Junior high for her win-
ning verse. Pictured with Casey is his art teacher, Anita
Williams. Not shown is Erin’s language arts teacher, Cindy

forgery in progress at the teller
window of a local bank, according
to reports
Police say a teller noticed a
check that 18-year-old Jeneva A.
Strait was trying to cash because
the account had been inactive for
a long time.
The teller reportedly called the
owner of the account, who told
the employee that no chec’s had
been authorized on the account.
That was when she alerted the
authorities, the report shows

Two area teenagers were
charged with driving while intoxi-
cated, public intoxication and dis-
orderly conduct after reportedly
chasing a 28-year-old woman
through Alvin, according to police
records.
Reports show that the incident
began when the victim
approached a stop sign where the
two, Scott Thomas Lukens. 19,
and Christopher Brown, 18, were
essentially parked
At the sign, the driver, Lukens,
reportedly turned around and
stared at the woman, while the
Brown made an obscene hand ges-
ture to her through the passenger
side window, reports show
he victim told police the car
started forward then, but only
traveled about five miles per hour,
and the driver kept on swerving
around on the road to prevent her
from passing.
When she tried to turn on an
