for John Luther (J.L.) Hoy, 63, on
December 28, 1990 at The First
Baptist Church in Llano with
Rev. Jerald Moore and J.C.
Turner officiating. Interment
followed at the Llano Cemetery
in Llano, IX

He was a Baptist and a member
of the American Legion and had
served with the Llanc Fire Dept,
for 20 years. Mr. Hoy was a life-
time resident of Llano and a
welder.
He is survived by his wife,
Maxine Hoy of Llano, TX: 2 sons.
Lynn Hoy of Llano, TX Billy Hoy
of Llano, TX; step-mother,
Velma Hoy of Llano, TX a half-
sister, Mrs. Myrtle May Holland
of Llano; and 3 grandchildren.

Phillips, and Roy Goff.

Mrs. Drake was born to
George Hemphill and Bess
Grimsley on December 1, 1921.
She was a baptist and was
married to Arden Drake in
Junction City, Kan. on June 2,
1942. She died on December 20,
1990.
Llano and was a Lutheran. Also
Ms. Mayes was a member of the
Culture Club and Delta Cappa
Gamma. %
She is survived by one daugh-
ter. Mrs. Marcel (Charlotte) Gres
of Austin; 3 grandchildren and 5
great grandchildren.

his wife Inez, in 1988 and one
son, Kenneth Carnes in 1930.
He is survived by one brother,
Bimley Carnes of Cheyenne, WY.

The Highland Lakes CB Club

from Friday to the second Tues-

ber 15, 1990.
Mr, Burford was born July 21,
1909 in Lubbock, Texas. He was
the son of L.O. Burford and Lou
Baldridge. He was manager of a
bakery and a Baptist. President
of Lubbock Lions Club and
president of Downtown Bible
Club Class.
He is survived by his wife
Pauline (Polly) of Kingsland; 2
step-sons, Charles Hall of Sul-
phur, LA.; and Ron Hall of Ker-
rville, TX; one daughter, Judy
Benkendorfer of Denver, COL.;
10 grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
December 17, 1990 for T.J.
Carnes, 94 at Waldrope-Hatfield
Chapel in Kingsland, Texas with
the Rev. Maynard Rogers offici-
ating. Interment followed at
Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in
Burnet County.
