of money to tide me over. I think
it was $38,000. That was bad

Eddie Shell, the Burnet attor-

appeared briefly. He said he is
appealing the case.

Two Llano men were inter-

last week, but ironically the Fox
Network show was not seen in
the Llano area.
"A Current * Affair," a
news/feature show produced in
New York for Fox, aired a seg-
ment on Timothy Scoggin and
the Norton murders on Dec. 20.
District Attorney Sam Oatman
and County Attorney L.T. De-
sChamps were both interviewed
by the Current Affair reporter
regarding the Norton case.
"I don't think I've ever seen a
more cold-blooded murderer,'’'
Oatman said in the interview.
"Here's a guy that puts poison
into two old ladles stomach
medicine," DesChamps said of
Scoggin. DesChamps also esti-
mated that Scoggin may have
stolen from $800,000 to $1 mil-
lion from the Nortons over a pe-
riod of time, although he said it
was impossible to know for sure.
