Let the Games begin. The thrill
and competition of the Olympic
Games will come to the local
community during this year’s Ju-
nior/Senior Games. Residents of
Care Inn of Llano and children from
the community will team up to
compete in Mariner's Junior/Senior
Games, Saturday, May 15 at 10
a.m.
Teams of residents and children
will compete for gold, silver, and
bronze medals in events such as a
Toilet Paper Race, Beanbag Toss
and the Javelin (straw) Throw.
Sandra Rogers, administrator of
Care Inn of Llano, said that this
annual event allows residents and
children the chance to compete and
be rewarded. It is also an opportu-
nity to show the community that
lively, active residents live in nurs-
ing homes.
Rogers encourages citizens of the
community to volunteer or be
spectators at Junior/Senior Games,
which is free of charge and will be
held on the grounds of Care Inn of
Llano, 800 W. Haynie. "Each team
needs a cheering section to support
them throughout The Games," said
Rogers. For more information
about the Games, call 915/247
