Sometime late Saturday night,
thieves entered the Rieger Depart-

public square and helped themselves
to a large quantity of goods. It is
believed that the robbery was staged
with leisure, as much time must have
been taken by the strangers in select-
ing suits and making changes in the
store. About $175 in clothing, suit
cases, ladies’ dresses, etc., was tak-
en. Currency and silver to the
amount of $50 were lifted from the
cash drawer, but two $20 greenbacks
in the drawer were overlooked.
