This suits me all right. That
is. I don't acre how many others
take off to explorespace, but
I' just not going to have time.
When a man’ five years be-
hind in his work on his own
farm he doesn’t have any busi-
ness taking off on inter-plane- 6 )
tary travel, and in my case it’s •
not necessary. I'm not depen-

cape my obligations here on this
farm I know how to escape 'em
on my own.
Besides, fast flight never has
appealed to me much I've
never had to Heave town that
you can leave oLs Angeleas on
fast. I read the other day where
the West coast at 8 a.m. and be
in New York on the East coast
at 12 noon by jet, thus, as the
article pointed out, eating break
fast in Los Angeles and four
hours later eating lunch in New
York.
Well, I've got the same sche-
dule out here on this farm. I
mean; out here you can eat
breakfast at 8 a.m and four
hours later eat lunch The only
difference is that out here it’s
easier, you don't have to take a
cab to the air port, you're not
bothered by the roar of a jet
engine, my chair here is just as
comfortable as the ones they
have on those planes, and at the
end of the four hours you're at
home instead of being 3,000
miles away You’ve also saved a
$300. ' .J

producing area of South, East
and Central Texas were dis-
cussed at length and recom-
mendations made when officers
and directors of the Old. Cot-

met in a strategy meeting in
La Grange Friday.
The cotton men also voted
to request the Secretary of
Agriculture not to permit the
sale of 1958 loan cotton until
after January’ 1, 1960. This,
they pointed out, will give pro
ducers an opportunity to sell
their 1959 season’s crop and
not have to compete* with the
government's selling program.
The fact that too many of
the "permitted cotton allot-
ment acres are not planted or
released ‘to other p roducers1
within the respective counties
has been determined as a ma-
jor factor for the dpwnward
trend of county’ allotments
within the OCBA area, offir
