Giddings cars collide
on U.S. 290 Friday
Two Giddings vehicles were
in a wreck Friday, Aug. 9 at
3:50 p.m. about 1.5 miles west
of Giddings on U.S. 290.
Involved in the wreck was a
1994 Mitsubishi Diamante
station wagon driven by
Debra Allen Sanders and a
1995 Nissan pickup driven by
Keith Johnson.
Both vehicles were going
east on U.S. 290 when the
pickup slowed to make a right
turn into a private drive and
was struck from behind by the
station wagon, said DPS
Trooper Don Claxton.
There were no injuries re-
ported.

Grandpa bought his first Giermania farm insurance policy the same year he
bought his first Model T. He alway s said the Model I took a load off his horse and
Cicrmania took a load oft his mind. He joined Germania because he liked the idea of
farmers banding together to protect one another. But he stayed because Germania
never let him dow n. O• Dad saw the farm through lots of changes. Some of them
were pretty scary, but it helped knowing that a strong, reliable company like Germania
was there if he needed it. O• Now that I’m raising my own kids, I know why Dad
and Grandpa trusted Germania. It’s good doing business with a homegrown Texas
company that really understands Texans. Today, Germania provides the home, life, and
auto insurance that my family needs. I’m proud to carry on two family traditions: farm
ing and Germania insurance. They've been good to our family for generations. °•
My kids may not end up on the farm, but it I've raised
