Fifth annual Giddings
Kidfish Saturday
The fifth annual Giddings
Kidfish will be held Saturday,
May 8, from 9 a.m. til noon.
Children and families are
invited to join the fun at a pri-
vate pond located on U.S. 290,
one mile east of sponsor Josh
Marshall Chevrolet on the
south side of the road.
More than 500 pounds of cat-
fish have been stocked as part
of the Parks and Wildlife
Foundation's Kidfish event.
Kidfish is open to all children
16 and younger. Participants
are asked to collect sponsor
ships from friends, relatives
ami neighbors to win a vari
ety of prizes. It is not neces-
sary to bring a donation to
participate.
The top fundraiser, child
catching the largest fish in
their age group, all children
raising $100 or more, and one
child drawn at random, will
qualify for the Central Texas
Kidfish Classic.
All bait, tackle, and loaner
rods are provided to those who
need equipment.
