Roger Schwarz has served as
project engineer for the AS EM Project,
the Assembly of Station by Extrave-
hicular Activity Methods.
As an employee of NASA, he
serves in a liaison role between the

McDonnell Douglas, the prime con-
tractor, “coordinating with the con-
tractor from an engineering stand-
point,” as he explains it in a letter
home.
He says' the project is “a practice
run toward construction of Space Sta-

to practice on space construction,
evaluate methods and test the tech-
niques” that will be used to construct
the space station.
ASEM is the secondary mission of
the space shuttle, however, and as The
Enterprise went to press Wednesday,
School trustees Tuesday set sti-

Jimmy Pinkerton, after she was named “Teacher Aide of the
Year” in the six-district Teacher Recruitment and Certification 1
Project. Her competition was “aides of the year” from every -
campus in the six-district area. She has been a teacher’s aide
for 19 years, all but one at Travis. Mr. Trevino, second from
right in lower photo, is congratulated on being named “Bus -
Driver of the Year” in the district by the local Woodmen of the -
World Council. A driver for 15 years, he drives bus 28 over the -
