George T. (Ted) Baker, president of National Airlines, holds
a map indicating the first route of commercial jet passenger

seaplane has undergone exhaus-
tive and varied safety tests.
Surprisingly enough, jet pilots
will be working with about one-
third as many controls as on the
latest piston-engine planes. Na-
tional’s veteran pilots are now
getting ready for the December
jet flights. One engine of the jet
produces as much thrust a* all
four engine* combined on the
fastest piston driven planes now
in service. Since there are few
moving parts, vibration is prac-
tically eliminated. Jet flights are
expected to carry 165 passengers.

This superior gasoline stands out as
the best gasoline to use in any car in any
price class. It is the only gasoline that
will give you all the performance you
paid for when you bought your modern
car. It has highest octane rating; it elim-
inates engine "bucking" as you start,
engine "rumble" as you drive, and engine
knock as you accelerate. A must for cars
with air-conditioning, power brakes and
power steering. It’s the gasoline for the
1959 models.

premium—price, but it out-performs many
gasolines selling for 1c to 2c more.
Out-performs them in clean-burning

Out-performs them in anti-knock oper-
