was here to rally the troops!
Friday it was time for R0 and
Dennis and Vera Remmert's visit.
This afternoon we began a new activ-
ity. We had a "remember when" dis-
cussion group. This session’s topic
was, remember when you saw your
first automobile. One resident re-
members the first car in his home
town was always chained to a tree
when not being driven. Why, you
ask? Well, seems everyone wanted to
drive it and many would just try to
drive off with it. One lady recalls the
bridges were so bad that they would
stop and everyone but the driver
would get out. The car and driver
would proceed across and all the
passengers would walk. This was a
very pleasant way to end a day.
