Merle Gruver, new chamber of
commerce manager, instilled good
will for the chamber in the hearts
of members of the Traveling Men's
association yesterday by extending
them an invitation to a special
luncheon on the traveling men’s day
at the West Texas Fair
Applause greeted the statement
from the members who were attend-
ing their regular semi-monthly
meeting Gruver went on to say
that he was happy to be back in
West Texas He pledged his per-

ration of the crude oi. mor* forcibly

I would not advocate any change
in the present program in which
the other two commissioners have
joined all along. I nave opposed
the Saturday and Sunday holiday
shutdown because I nave felt that
the same end could be acc m pushed
by unitorm proration throughout all
the oil fields in Texas
“I have discussed this matter fully
with Jerry Sailer and he agrees
with me, as do the other members
of the commission so far as that
