CLEAN UP CONTINUES AT CEMETERY — Organizersof the
renewed effort to clean up and maintain the Mercedes Catho-
lic Cemetery say a second clean up session that took place
recently was “wonderfully successful,” due largely to the
assistance of volunteers from the Mercedes Knights of Co-
lumbus, seen above, and participants in the Homer Salinas
Boot camp, below. “Many other wonderful folks volunteered,
as well, to make this a success,” they add. Those who have
loved ones buried in the cemetery and would like to donate to
the effort are encouraged to contact Mrs. Estela C. Salazar at
565-4610.
