in the National League for
only the 18th day this season
Hart drove in all of the runs

Tuesday night as the Giants
jumped into the lead for the
first time by trimming Los
Angeles 3-1.
The victory, their fourth
straight, put the Giants two
percentage points ahead of
the Dodgers, one-half game
ahead of Cincinnati, one in
front of Milwaukee and four
ahead of Pittsburgh
The triumph also gave
them a sweep of the two
game series, a sweep accom-
plished with out the help of
