A huge block of army surplua prop-
erty stored io San Antonio left over
fro.ii the World War will be void at
public auction here November 18 in
connection with a nation-wide scrim of
auction sales to dispose of 32500.000
worth of coverumeut property recently
declared >urplus by the Quartermaster
Corp*. The sale is expected to be a«
large as the one held last summer and
attract bidders from all over the coun-
try.
Home idea of the magnitude of the
sale can be Seen wheu It is known that
one item of over two million tubes of
bj l«>ch|oride of lime more than Mtt.UtMl
yards of gray duck and thousands of
garments are included in the list.
A general classification of the ma-
terials to be sold are items of machin-
ery. engineering clothing equipage
leather harness general supplies raw
material. subsistence and textiles.
Joseph Rubin auctioneer at both the
KI Paso sale and the previous sale here
will sell the goods this time. The sale
is under the direction of Ideut. K. W.
Lach miller. southern surplus property
control officer.

Salvage Plant on the Scguiu road
starting at 10 o’ekiek in the morning.
All property listed for sale will be open
for fns|>ection for a tieriod of two weeks
prior to the sale. All property will be

Congress flakes Effort to Preserve
Hying Race On Islands.
Honolulu. T. 11.. Oct. 31. — The
island of Molokla. the famous "leper
Ho" of the Hawaiian group will be the
acene of the first effort to rehabilitate
the dying liiwaiian race in accordance
with the Hawaiian Home* commission
law (utssed by congress it was decided
here by the commission appointed by
Governor It. Farrington to administer
the provisions of the law.
The commission voted to establish a
model demonstration farm ou Molokai
which is approximately 30 miles from
Oahu the island on which Honolulu is
situated. The farm will be on th*
grounds of Hoolebua and l'alaau. set
aside by eongrese for the Hawaiian*
and will lie directed by “a part-Hawai-
ian of agriculture education and experi-
ence" the committee said.
