New York March 15. —Geneva Mitch-
ell chorus girl bride for a week of
Herbert Savage wealthy school boy
athlete and poet had all the thrills of
a prima donna when she reported for
work Tuesday night
Clustered about the stage door eager
for a glimpse of the romantic little
short-haired “peony” were scores of cu-
rious swains while inside the theater fl
small army of reporters was waiting w
bombard her with questions as to the
veracity of reports that she bad banded
Herbert back his wedding ring and
would seek annullment of their mar-
riage last week in Milford Conn.
She eluded them by promising to see
them between acts in her dressing rjnm
but when the time for the interview
came she sent down word she had de-
cided not to be interviewed. Her grand-
father S. W. Rice would tell the re-
porters all about it she said.
The grizzled veteran at the stage door
laughed at reports that young Savase
had given up and departed Sunday tor
La Jolla Cal. to see his mother.
