Ethridge PTA honors members
FROM STAFF REPORTS
Jan. 24 was a busy night at Ethridge
Elementary. The school’s Parent Teacher
Association inducted three of its members
into the Texas Life Membership of PTA.
Tammie Cole, Ethridge secretary and
parent, was the first life member, awarded
the highest honor in Texas PTA. Cole is a
past president of The Colony Early
Childhood PTA, book fair chairman, and
birthday table chairman.
Cole stepped down from active PTA duty
to join the staff as school secretary.
She is married to Fred Cole and has
three children. Her youngest, Carson, is a
fifth-grader at Ethridge.
The second award went to Leeanne
Pritchard current PTA president at Ethridge
Elementary. Leeanne has served as secre-
tary, hospitality, and is serving her second
year as president.
She has served on the Board of
Lewisville Council of PTAs and is also area
field representative for Texas PTA.
She is active in her church especially in
the children’s ministry at The Colony
Church of Christ, she also serves the Kids
Eat Free Program during the summer for
the children in the free and reduced lunch
program through CCA.
She is married to Joe Pritchard and has
four daughters, two of them currently at
Ethridge in the fourth and fifth grade.
The third award went to Christy Jacobs,
first vice president for budget and finance.
She has served as carnival chairman, fund-
raising chairman, and room mom.
She is married to Vinny Jacobs and has
three children, two of whom are at
Ethridge.
