BUT HENRY HAS BOTH HANDS BUSY
NOW . . . trying to keep the old bus on the
road because his wheels are out-of-line. Misaligned
wheels cause “road weave,” forcing the driver to
“fight” the steering wheel. Out-of-line wheels eat
up rubber, too, because the tires are literally dragged
sidewise down the road. It isn’t only annoying —
it’s expensive.
Come in today and let us align your wheels with
our precision John Bean Wheel Alignment System.
Savings in tire wear alone will more than pay for
the job.

mented her husband with a tur-
key dinner and all the trim-
mings last Sunday, May 16, the
occasion being his birthday.

celebrate were Mr. and Mrs. El-

WALLIS LASS BREAKS
ARM MONDAY AFTERNOON
Five-year-old Julia Marie
Bear, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Nolan Bear, of Wallis, received
two fractures above the wrist of
her right arm while at play with
children Monday afternoon. She
walked in front of a swing, while
her playmates were swinging.
She was taken to the Rosenberg
hospital, where she received im-
mediate attention.
Julia Marie is a granddaugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Foytik,
of Sealy, and is known here,
often visiting here with them and
her aunts and uncle.
Sealy and Miss Honey Brown
were seen Sunday at a barbecue
in Wallis.
A distinguished looking trio
Monday afternoon were Sam Tol
birt, Frank Russ, and Charles
Hluchan, as they no doubt were
enroute to Houston with big
things in mind. Could be they
were calling in the interest of
promoting the appearance of the
Shrine Band at the July Fire-
men’s Frolic, or business of that
nature.
Stopping for a Coke and a
friendly discussion on the in-
crease in prices was J. F. Ester-
ak, Wallis banker, with R. A.
Irvin, Wallis drug store owner
and operator, Monday morning.
Conversation instantly drifted to
cattle, of which both are seem-
ingly fond.
Arthur Moebes of Katy and
Mrs. D. E. Koebelen of Rosen-
berg will each receive a one
year renewal to the Sealy News
as a birthday gift from Mrs. A.
H. Moebes of Raymondville.
We know Mrs. W. H. Whisen-
ant was going somewhere the
other day, although we don’t
know where. Whenever she
wears a hat, as she did on that
particular day, she’s bound to be
taking a trip. And the same
might be said of Mrs. L. V. Om-
berg, who was seen sporting a
handsome bonnet.
The Seniors showed their ap-
preciation of the kind deeds of
Mrs. Ruth Westermann and
Mrs. R. O’Connor at graduation
time by presenting each with a
lovely corsage in red and white,
their class colors. This was a
fine token, indeed, and very
thoughtful on the part of the
grads.
Christmas Foytik must have
taken a holiday the other day--
The Sealy News didn’t get any
ice for their drinking water.

mily of Freeport and Mr. and
Mrs. Jesse Jousan of Granger,
visited their mother, Mrs. Fran-
ces Jousan last week-end and
Monday.
A large crowd gathered at
church Sunday when a large
class of boys and girls were con-
firmed by Rev. Harold Warnec-
ke. The small son of Mr. and
Mrs. Leslie Reichardt was christ-
ened Sunday.
Miss Leona Schwanbeck of
Houston and Mr. and Mrs. Ar-
thur Heintschel and Patsy and
Kirby of Wallis visited in the
O. J. Schwanbeck home over

Minna Kuehn last week-end.

ing the Lutheran church to a
