The Meridian Baptist Association
met with County Line Church, Mon-
day, June Sth, with only a few re-
presentatives from other churches.
A splendid program was render-
ed by several of the pastors present.
Evangelism being the general topic
of discussion. Rey. T. F. Maynard
delivered an inspirational sermon at
the noon hour, after which the ladi-
es of the church served a very de-
licious lunch to all.
The pastors and Woman’s Mis-
sionary Union met in separate places
for business transaction. The W.
M. U. will conduct a mission study
course July 7th-8th at Meridian.
All women are urged to come and
take part in these study courses.
Mrs. D. J. Cutbirth arranged for
some splendid quartet numbers,
which were enjoyed by all. -Re-
ports from laymen and pastors com-
mittees were read and adopted in
the following order, that all church-
es and communities desiring revivals
should report to the committee, and
this matter shall be carefully cared
for; also that a B. Y. P. U. training
course be conducted. An invitation
from Macedonia church was accept-
ed for the next meeting, which will
be July 13th.

Valley Mills Pioneer' Dies
Funeral services were held Sun-
day afternoon at 2 o’clock in Valley
Mills for John M. Shrader, 81, resi-
dent of McLennan County for 77
years in the vicinity of Ocee, on
Hog creek. He died at his home in
Valley Mills Friday at 11 a. m.
Interment was at Crawford, with
the Masons in charge of the burial
services.
