$1,221.68The Chapter has yet to receive a bill for lodging and meals from the 1984 annu
meeting at Port Aransas. Printing costs for the Proceedings rose 75%. Although
increased membership has brought in more revenues, postage fees and newsletter prin
costs have risen considerably. This year's closing balance of $1221.68 is higher t
last year's but the Port Aransas bill will likely be several hundred dollars. It
appears our financial position is worsening primarily through higher costs being ab
SUMMARY OF WINTER EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETINGThe Executive Committee met on 29 December 1985, at Texas A & M University.
Summary reports follow:
o Treasury Report - Chapter funds are deposited in a money market account at
First National Bank, Copperas Cove, Texas. The account requires a maintain
balance of $1000, and checks are limited to three per month. Earned interes
for November and December was $31.21. The current account balance is $2368.
o Newsletter Report -- Newsletters will be prepared and distributed in March,
August, and November 1986. 1985 members will be maintained on the mailing 1
to allow renewal of lapsed memberships.
o Membership Report (David Lee) -- A computer program for membership files is
being completed and will allow preparation of mailing labels, membership
directories, etc.
o Advertising and Exhibits -- A committee has been formed to continue the suc
cessful fund raising projects. It was suggested large scale fund drives req
specific objectives (eg., scholarships), and the Awards committee will be di
