HERE ARE WINNING COUNTIES IN WTCC'S FIRST $1,000 SOIL CONSERVATION CONTEST
Those in the above pictures had a reason to smile. The
counties they represent this morning were announced win-
ners in the soil conservation contest sponsored by the' WTCC.
The $1,000 prize, split 50, 30 apd 20, was given by the West
Texas Utilities company. With the Wheeler county exhibit,
first place winner, are W. O. Puett, Shamrock, left, and Jake
Tarter, county agent of Wheeler. Val Verde county, E B.
Kidd, county agent, shown, was second; and Fisher, third,
T. H. Roensch, farm agent, and Jewell Hipp, home agent,
shown.
