"I'm In Pain”
Can Chiropractic Help Me?
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
We are often asked, “What’s the best way of finding out whether or not a doctor of chiropractic can help my problem?”
We believe the answer can be found in a complete chiropractic consultation and examination, including x-rays.
And to help find out for sure, we will do a complete consultation and examination, including x-rays, if necessaiy, (proce-
dures that normally cost $190.00 or more) for $25.00.
We will make this special program available through December 31. The only exception to the offer involves personal
injury cases (workers’ compensation and auto accidents) in which there is no charge directly to the patient.
$25.00
YOUR INITIAL VISIT WILL INCLUDE:
M A private consultation with the doctor.
• X-rays, if necessary.
MA thorough spinal examination including orthopedic &
neurological test.
M A confidential report of our findings.
M An explanation of our treatment procedure if we determine
chiropractic can help you.
• A REFERRAL TO THE PROPER SPECIALIST IF WE
DETERMINE CHIROPRACTIC CAN’T HELP YOU.

tered by First Baptist Church) recently relived a part of history as they par-
ticipated in the camping program aboard the Blue Ghost of World War II
fame - the USS Lexington Aircraft Carrier - now permanently berthed at
Corpus Christi.
The Scouts were inducted into the navy upon arrival and became “ship-
mates,” along with other youth groups who came to live aboard the carrier
for the weekend. As Lexington shipmates, they traded in a familiar language
for one that translated floors to decks, walls to bulkheads, restrooms to
heads and water fountains to scuttlebutts.
The young shipmates and their sponsors were given a sampling of ship-
board life as they took their turn in chow lines, slept in racks instead of beds
and endeavored to remember which side of the ship is starboard and which
is port. Their stay included admission to the Mega-Screen Theater, a flag
ceremony with patriotic music and an evening tour of the aircraft carrier.
The next morning, the shipmates were mustered out of the USS Lexington
crew for their return trip home with tales of high adventure aboard a famous
Navy Ship.
Each participant received a USS Lexington Live Aboard Patch, satisfied
the requirements to earn their Historic Trails Award, and received a
Certificate of Appreciation for their participation in the Flag Ceremony.
The Scouts also toured the Texas State Aquarium.

Pedernales Electric members who
wish to help the Hill Country envi-
ronment can recycle their natural
Christmas trees through PEC's
annual recycling program.
Members who bring their Christ-
mas trees to a participating PEC
office from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5, 2002,
will receive a free pine seedling.
The seedling, an eldarica evergreen,
is particularly well suited to Hill
Country soil and climate condi-
tions.
Seedlings will be distributed on a
first-come, first-serve basis from
PEC lobbies during normal busi-
ness hours. Planting the trees will
enhance landscaping and the envi-
ronment, and mulching this year’s
Christmas trees will beautify parks
and playgrounds in the PEC area.
PEC asks participants to remove
all tinsel and decorations, as well as
nails and staples, from the natural
trees to be recycled. Once the trees
are bare, members can bring them
to a PEC office in Bertram, Canyon
Lake, Cedar Park, Johnson City,
Junction, Kyle/Buda, Lake Travis,
Manchaca, or Marble Falls.
For more information on the
Christmas tree recycling program
or obtaining mulch, call any PEC
office or 1-888-554-4732.
