The Doak Springs girls’ bas-
ketball team won the District
VI B the hard way this year
in a three-game playoff with
the girls from Fairview, a lo-
cal team.
The first game was played
Thursday night, Feb. 7, with
Fairview’s girls winning by a
free throw line, and four in
the last quarter.
The third and final game was
won by Doak Springs 17-16,
with Bertha Cooper, a guard.
