IT'S A GIRL
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beisert of
Dallas are the proud parents of
a daughter born to them on Dec.
24, 1966, at the Methodist Hos-
pital in Dallas. She tipped the
scale at 7 lbs. and is welcomed
by a brother, Steven, 2 years old.
The little miss was named Pamela
Sue. Happy grandparents are Mr.
and Mrs. Richard Reuther, of Lin-
coln.
OPERATED
So sorry to hear of Mrs. George
Kieschnick of Lincoln, who had to
have surgery on Jan. 3rd, at Lee
Memorial Hospital. A speedy re-
covery is wished for her. Mrs.
Kieschnick was the former Miss
Edna Winkler of Fedor.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fischer
and Barbara of Giddings visited on
Monday, Jan. 2nd, with Mrs. Fisch-
er’s sister, Mr. and Mrs. Alton
Fritsche, Sharon and Ricky at Loe-
bau.
Pvt. Harry Dube of Louisiana
was home on a weekend pass to
visit with his parents at Lincoln
and other relatives and friends.
Harry returned back for duty Sun-
day night.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Iselt and
children of Austin spent the week-
end with their relatives and friends
at Lincoln.
Mrs. Larry Mitschke of Houston
was visiting here over the weekend
and in Giddings.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Matthi-
jetz had all of their children home
for Christmas. They were Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Beisert and children,
and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Matthi-
jetz and children of Dallas, and
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schulz and
Cyleada of Houston, Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Matthijetz and chil-
dren also visited with her parents,
Mr, and Mrs. Ed. H. Schulze and
Virginia in Bryan over the holi-
days.
Cyleada Schulz of Houston spent
from Christmas till New Years
with her grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Gerhard Matthijetz at Loe-
bau,
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schuetze
of Lincoln visited in Weimar with
the Bennie Getschmans on Christ-
mas Day.
Those visiting over the Christ-
mas holidays with Mr. and Mrs.
Martin Scliuetze at Lincoln were
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schuetze
and family from Wichita Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schuetze
and family of Wichita Falls and
Mr. and Mrs, Martin Schuetze of
Lincoln visited with the Anton
Kellers and Elizabeth Schuetze in
Hallettsville during the Christmas
week. The Schuetzes also visited
the Lee Ruetz’s in Houston.
Myron and Eugene Friedrich
of Lincoln visited New Year’s
afternoon with their uncle and
aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Frit-
sche and family at Dime Box.
The boys report that the Fritsches
are living in a most wonderful mo-
dern home which was just built
for them recently. They just
moved in a week before Christ-
mas.
Lexington FHA Heels
The Lexington FHA held their
monthly meeting on December 9,
1966, immediately after school.
Mrs. Perry called the roll. Then
president, Carol Brown called the
meeting to order. The secretary
read the minutes from the pre-
vious meeting. Reports from
standing committees was given.
The president called to the Chap-
ter’s attention that the expense
of sending cookies to Viet Nam
was too great for the Chapter’s

Marine Sergeant James Knippa,
who has been spending his 30 day
leave with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Isedor Knippa and family at
Route 1, Giddings, left for Barstow,
California, on Monday, January 2,
where he will be stationed until
March and for the remainder of
his four year enlistment.
Sgt. Knippa was previously sta-
tioned in Okinawa and also served
in Vietnam on a special order for
some time.

Judi Sorenson and others who
attended the Area Meet gave a
report to the FHA members who
did not attend the meet.
It was voted that those who
wanted to, would go and sing for
the shut-ins. There were seven-
teen who said they would sing.
The program for December was
given by the Freshmen class. They
provided games for entertainment
and they served cookies and punch
for refreshments. While they were
getting ready to serve the chapter,
the Chapter sang Christmas
carols.
The meeting was then adjourned.
