To 'Stay Put;
In the light of just-around-the-
corner gasoline rationing, A. R
Archer. OctanE distributor, was
asked if he were going out of bus-
iness.
•Certainly not," he replied. "I be-
lieve it is my patriotic duty to stay
and give the best service I can.
"Moreover, I feel sure there will
be a heavy demand for/ OctanE
sweet crude gasoline, even though
users are rationed. After all. Oc-
tanE gasoline is a high quality
product capable of high mileage
per gallon "
Nor is the OctainE gasoline the
only product which Archer distrib-
utes from his wholesale and retail
location, 1741 Butternut.
There is cleaners’ naphtha, pro-
duced from sweet crude by 3tod-
dard solvent specifications, and
widely known for its clear and
odorless qualities. The OctanE Re-
fining company, located five miles
east of Baird, is the only plant in
this part of the country producing
cleaners' naphtha.
Also widely used is OctanE's wa-
ter white kerosene
Archer has been in the gasoline
business nine years, seven years as
the OctanE distributor He has
lived in Abilene most of the time
since 1914. His home is 1802 Syca-
