1 ne Sears COW, Sow and Hen
Program Pays Off!
Realizing the need for improved livestock on the nation’s farms,
Sears-Roebuck & Co. inaugurated the now-celebrated cow-sow-hen
foundation program for 4-H Club boys, under direction of the Ex-
tension Service even before the present day stress was placed on
premium animals.
That the program is bearing fruit in West Texas can best be
proven at the West Texas Livestock Show here Wednesday, Thurs-
day and Friday, where Sears-backed 4-H Club boys will dominate
the strong swine show. Practically every one of the 75-odd hogs en-
tered will be an animal in the Sears contest."
The annual Sears Show is being held in connection with the re-
gional exposition here this week.
Go out to the fair grounds and the Sears Livestock pavilion and
see for yourself the job West Texas club boys are doing with swine,
and Jerseys they have been awarded in previous Sears contests.
