1 the many who haven't heard the blessed story. Let’s give them the
privilege of having a wonderful Christmas, too. Let's tell them the

SELLING SPREE AGAIN
The Senior Class has recently
received some beautiful stationery
which they are going to sell this
year. The white stationery, with
design of pretty pink roses, will be
sold at $1.25 a box.
The Class also has some Christ-
mas cards which they hope to sell
before Christmas.

Christmas Party
I The GHS Faculty will hold their
annual Christmas Party Decem-
ber 19 in the homemaking living
room after school is dismissed at
2 o’clock.

planning and giving the party is
Miss Drake, and the other mem-
bers of the committee are Miss
Eleanor Fletcher and Mrs. Viola

j The faculty members recently
drew names for the purpose of ex-
changing gifts at the party.
Clothing Drive
15 sacks of clothing were col-
lected so far, and more will be
coming in this week.
The World Clothing Drive con-
ducted by the Student Council of
GHS during the past week. De-
cember 8-12, was very successful.
' Third and Fourth
Awards Given To
Spitzenbergers
Two members of the Paul Spit-
zenberger family received the
third and fourth courtesy awards
I recently.
I The third courtesy award was
presented to Joyce, a Freshman,
in an assembly on November 20.
Joyce has made a fine entrance to
high school life. Her leadership
is proven by the fact that she has
I been elected president of her
■ homemaking I unit — period 3.
She is a member of the Martin
I Luther Church of Giddings. She
I is an active member of the Luther
: League and church choir.
Martin, recipient of the fourth
award, is presently an active mem-
ber of the Senior Class. This year,
Martin is holding the offices of
Senior class treasurer, band vice-
president, and is the business man-
ager of the annual. He has been
a member of the District Band for
the past two years. To show his
scholastic ability, Martin is taking
college algebra this year and he
participated in Interscholastic
League Number Sense last year.
Martin attends Martin Luther
Church. He serves his Luther
League as secretary and also sings
in the church choir.
