Students need more patriotism
Have you ever noticed how many students
recite the Pledge of Allegiance, or sing the
National Anthem in our school ceremonies?
There is a scarcity of persons at GHS
who started the Pledge or sing the National
Anthem.
Many years ago, Americans sometimes
gave their lives in hopes that later gen-
erations could have the right to freedom.
If you don’t know either the Anthom
or Pledge, why not copy them down, and
recite the words that represent the sym-
bols of our country, at the ceremony, at
least once, and feel the pride surge through
you when you say it?
Set an example for students around vou,
and soon other students will realize how
important it is, and they will join in.
If the patriots who gave theirlives for
this beautiful country saw you stare into
space and say nothing during the Pledge
and Star Spangled Banner, what would they
think? Would they think it was worth it
to give up their lives for the Unitel
States of America? We’ve got to try harder
at reciting our Pledge of Allegiance and
singing our Star Spangle Banner.
I hope you try to put forth a little
a
more effort in accomplishing this deed..
Its important, for you, and our country.
THINK ABOUT IT...

Buffalo Pride...
To have pride in something takes
a lot or will-power and that's one thing
I’ve noticed about the Giddings Buttaloes.
They have a lot of pride in the school
and when it comes to respecting our school
Self-esteem is something a school
needs to make it like one large family.
Their needs to be trust, love, and hon-
esty, and the ' iddings buttaloes have
plenty of it.
Then it comes to theft, the Buff's
seem to win it over. Their is a little
around but we are greatful not to have
it as bad as other towns.
Their is a lot ot theft, disobedient
language and even murder. That kind of
behavior is what school should be with-
out and that is one advantage, Uc," the
Buffaloes don’t have to worry about.
Everyone in this school honers and
respects the Buffalo symbol of our sch-
ooi. We all thank you for representing
our beautiful school, and hope you keep
up the great work. Let’t keep our school
