WASHINGTON, April 7.—Citi-
zens of Mexico and countries of
South America are developing into
nations of "radio fans" with as-
I tontshing rapidity.
Last year more than one-fifth
I of all the radio sets exported by
American manufasturers went to
our Latin-American neighbors,
representing a 30 fold increase
over the exports of 1918, the ini-
8 tial radio export year.
J k These facts were disclosed to
day by the U. S. Department of
Commerce in making public the
second section of the world radio
survey they sre just completing.
Over a Million.
The report shows that during
I- 1924 our radio factories exported
81,854,000 worth of radio appa-
ratus to Latin-America. The to-
I iotal of our exports to all foreign
countries for 1924 was $6,030,-
