the highlight in the sessions Fri-
day of’the Texas State Laundry-
owners’ Association meeting at
the Texas Hotel. Dr. G. H. John-
son, director of research at the
Mtetton institute, was the principal
•peaker at both the morning and
uternoon sessions.
At the morning, session. Dr.

expected that the fire in the
Gulf Production Company'a No. 2
Burrell on the Fannett structure,
Jefferson County, which has been
burning since Tuesday, would be
extinguished today. The well is
making around 5000 barrels.
Pure Oil Company baa made
location for No. 1 Mayes Estate
in Chambers County. No. 2 Lost
Lake is drilling around 2465 feet.
At Sweet Lake, La., Pure Oil
Company’s No. 2 Lake, la
drilling around 4520 feet and
No. 8 at 3650 feet.
' Union Exploration Company
has two wells nearing completion
in the Refugio field. No. 1
Holmes-Heard is drilling in to-
day and Saturday No. 2 Atkin-
son will be drilled in. The com-
pany has abandoned No. 1 am-
bert at 3728 feet. Six miles
west of Dayton, Liberty County,
