Cotton Seed Hulls.
We are now putting up Cotton
Seed Hulls in bales weighing 100
pounds each thus enabling dealers and
consumers to handle and store them
more conveniently than hay. The
bales are 22 inches long and 18x1 I
wide and only one half the size of t he
smallest bale of hay. Cotton Seed
Hulls arc now recognized as being
superior to hay both for fattening
and milk producing and when mixed
with a small proportion of our cotton
seed meal it surpasses any cuttle food
in the market. Being much cheaper
than hay or bran should recommend
it to every one who feeds cattle. For

SIX DEATHS IN NEW YORK CITY
FROM THE DISEASE.
Cases Reported at New Haven-Dis-
ease to be Stamped out Prompt-
ly if Possible.
—
At last tlie dreadeu Asiatic cholera
lias gotten a foothold in the United
States—up to the tilth six deaths oc-
curred from the disease in New York
City. Another death was reported
there yesterday. How it reached the
city is a mystery but it is a certainty
that it is there.
Great confidence is expressed that
the disease will not become epidemic
anywhere in this country as the ap-
proaching cold weather will kill the
bacterial germs of the disease. Al-
ready frosts have fallen in Xew York
City and it is confidently expected
that this will hold in check the chol-
era.
Below we give some late press dis-
patches the latest news in reference
to the disease:
New Y’ork September 15.—After
a conference this afternoon with Pres-
ident Wilson of .the Health Depart-
ment and President Porter of the
Department of Charities and Correc-
tions on the outbreak of cholera in
this city Mayor Grant gave out the
following:
TO THE PUBLIC:
Mayor’s Office New York Sep-
tamber 15 1892- —The dreaded cholera
has appeared in this city and the
Health Department has so far shown
its ability to arrest the disease prompt-
ly The Health Department mid the
Department of Charities and Correc-
tion are fully equipped to arrest mid
care for every case and stamp it out
of the immediate locality in which
it is discovered.
The proclamation further declares
that reception hospitals with doctors
and nurses are till equipped mid ready
to receive and isolate each case as it
is discovered; that physicians are
closely watching the thickly populated
tenement districts: that (he Federal
and State authorities have established
quarantine stations for those coming
abroad; that the Chamber of
Commerce is taking active meas-
ures to lend assistance; that no
energy or needed expenditure will be
wanting and that excessive fear on
the part of the public is not. justified.
The Mayor calls for confidence in all
these provisions to cure for the public
weal. The record in the past in stamp-
ing out typhus and other infectious
diseases the proclamations reads
should justify faith in the Health De-
partment to check cholera. Cholera
it says is neither infectious nor con-
tagious within the common meaning
of the words noris it in the language
of the eminent authority as dangerous
as diseases that are constantly in our
midst. The public will be intelligent-
ly advised as to the progress of the
disease.
From George Tillos.
New York September 15.—W. M.
Kavanaugh Business Manager Ga-
zette: Cholera news sent out largely
sensational. No new eases here and
no alarm felt. Health Board vigilant.
Immense fund placed at their disposal.
Street cars ami theatres crowded.
Everybody happy and confident of
immunity from the disease.
Geo. Tilleh.
Effect on Wall Street.
New York September 15.—Wall
Street was full of reports of more
cholera cases in this city mid Chicago
bouses mid room traders here were
heavy sellers all the afternoon. Sugar
fell 2jc.; Lake Shore lie; Delaware and
Hudson 3jc. and other stocks follow-
ed closely. Insiders in the various
stocks were heavy buyers but their
buying orders were quickly filled.
Two Cases at Now Havon.
New Haven September 15. —The
city is in a flurry of excitement over
what seems to be a case of cholera.
Shortly after 7 o'clock an Italian was
found writhing in terrible agony on
she ourskirts of the city. The police
were notified and the special ambu-
lance called. When it arrived Hie
Ilalinii evidently a laborer was ex-
hibiting all Hie symptoiiH of the dis-
ease. He was immediately taken to
the hoHpitnl and isolated from the
other patients. The Italian has proven
to be Borneo Rooney mid is u farm
laborer. This afternoon his brother
Natalie residing with him on Hudson
street was stricken with the same
symptoms. lie was also taken to the
hospital and isolated. That part of
the city where the hospital is located
is ou low marsh) ground and is one
of the most unhealthy sections of the
city. The health officers aud hospital
i authorities maintain a rigid silence iu
| regard to the case.
I Havana Quarantines Against Amer-

NO YELLOW FEVER AT MOBILE.
Alarming Reports Sent Out Broadcast
are Emphatically Denied.
Mobile Ala. Sept. 15. —The report
telegraphed from here to afternoon
papers in Selma Ala. Meridian Miss.
and other points announcing the ap-
pearance of live cases of yellow fever
in Mobile is without founda-
tion. There is no trace of the
disease in this section and the vicinity
was never in u more healthy condition.
The report probably originated from
Hie fact that the steamer May from a
Mexican port arrived in thelowerbay.
The steamer was sent back and not
allowed to come near the city.

Deafness Cant lie thireii
by local applications as they cannot
reach the diseased portion of the ear.
There is anly one way to cure deafness
and that is by constitutional remedies.
Deafness is caused by an inflamed con-
dition of Hie mtiscous lining of the
Eustachian Tube. When this tube
gets iutlnmed you have a rumbling
sound or imperfect hearing ami when
it is entirely closed deafness is the
result and unless the inflammation
can lie taken out and this tube re-
stored to its normal condition hear-
ing will be destroyed forever. Nine
cases out often are caused by catarrh
which is not lung but an inflamed con-
dition of the mucous surfaces.
We will give one hundred dollars
for any case of deafness (caused by
catarrh) that cannot be cured by tak-
ing Hall’s Catarrh Cure. Bend for
circulars; free.
