Let it be said in the future that
Texarkana knows not the word “fail”
ami point back to the Second Annual
Fair as a success and a sample of our
citizens’ pluck energy and enterprise
—which will be difficult to surpass—-
and a worthy sample for generations
yet to come.
MacLean-Prescott.
The coming Saturday (to-morrow)
will see those two eminent stars R. I).
Mac Lean aud Marie Prescottin Texar-
kana once more. Marie Prescott is a
great talented artiste and actress.
She reaches the highest ideal in act-
ing in causing the audience to forget
the actress and only feel w ith the char-
acter. She is terrible in her passion
grand in her heroism and heart-rend-
ing in her sorrow and her magnetism
draws her so closely to her audience
that they forgot the play and weep
and laugh with the woman. She has
the presence and spirit of a great
actress: in the true sense she is a genius.
R. D. Mac Lean is an ideal actor in
the "legitimate’’ with physique rarely
equaled and his gift of magnificent
presence is enhanced by a voice of un-
limited power and a grace and ease a
fortune in themselves.

and closes Oct. 15th. 1892 and that as
wo have a pride in all our public in-
stitutions and enterprises this import-
ant association must not be neglected.
Let each and every citizen do his or
her duty and the reward will be a
crowning .success to which all can
point to with pride and be a share-
holder in the good result.

TO ALL INTERESTED IN EDUCATION —Greeting:
In the light of our present knowledge an education is
deemed of paramount importance to all
MALE AND FEMALE ALIKE.
The age we live in demands it. It is a fortune to him who
possesses it and its value is in direct proportion to its prac-
tical nature and its usefulness.
Upon this above basis Bryant’s Inter-State College

hired and methods of instruction will be employed.
My work has been a success as is attested by hundreds
of enthusiastic pupils and patrons in Missouri.
The questions we want you to answer favorably are :
Shall 8 not send my child? Large or small? While
the opportunities are at my door shall 1 not accept them
cheap as they are ?
Wo shall bo pleased to have your child on Sept. 26th
1892. Let him GET A FAIR START so as to begin the
year's work with a full determination to make great prog-
