MOTHER & DAUGHTER
Saxet Mid. Co. Dallas:—My little adop-
ted daughter had hereditary blood poison;
she was covered with bolls and sores. I
gave her Saxet and it cured her In a short
time. Andi had rheumatism twenty years
and had tried every remedy that 1 heard
of but Saxet has done me more good than
all of them and I believe it has cured me
entirely. I know of several other wonder-
ful cures it has made. Respectfully

The Arkansas Gazette of yesterday
contains a lengthy account of the clos-
ing of gaming houses on both sides
of the line in this city and speaks
highly of the course pursued by Jus-
tice Haywood and Mayor Arnold in
bringing the matter to a final issue.
Mr. R. E. Graham so well known
as the leading character in the “Little
Tycoon” will be welcomed to Texar-
kana nezt Wednesday night in his
bright new musical comedy “Larry
the Lord.” Doubtless a large crowd
will then greet him at our opera
house.
A Proof of Merit.
When a remedy proves itself a cure
for the very worst phases of blood
poison it stands to reason that minor
effects of bad blood will rapidly disap-
pear if the remedy is used in time. No
remedy in the world has so good a
reputation at home or abroad as a
cure for all stages of blood poison as
B B B (Botanic Blood Balm.)
Beuj. Morris Atlanta Ga. writes:
••I suffered years from syphilitic blood
poison which refused to be cured by
all treatment. Physician! pronounced
it a hopeless case. 1 had no appetite
I had pains in my hips and joints and
my kidneys were diseased. My throat
was ulcerated and my breast a mass
of running sores. In this condition I
commenced a use of BB B. it healed
every ulcer and cured me completely
in two months.”
Robt. Ward Maxey Ga. writes:
“My disease was pronounced tertiary
form of blood poison. My face head
and shoulders were a mass of corrup-
tion; finally the disease began eating
my skull bones. My bones ached; my
kidneys were deranged I lost flesh
and strength aud life became a bur-
den. All said I must surely die but
nevertheless when 1 had used ten bot-
tles of B B B I was pronounced sound
and well. Hundreds of scars can now
be seen on me. I have now been
well over twelve months.”
A P Brunson Atlanta Ga. writes:
“I had 24 running ulcers on one leg
aud six on the other and felt greatly
prostrated. 1 believe 1 actually swal-
lowed a barrel of medicine in vain
efforts to cure the disease. With lit-
tle hope I finally acted on the urgent
advice of a friend and got a bottle of
BB B. I experienced a change and
my despondency was somewhat dis-
pelled. 1 kept using it until I had
takeu about sixteen bottles aud all
the ulcers rheumatism and all other
horrors of blood poison have disap-
peared and at last I am sound ami
well again after an experience of
twenty years of torture."

T. C. Hubbell general manager of
the Texarkana and Fort Smith rail-
way Is spending the day in the city.
He will leave to-morrow on a tour of

structed. Everything points to a re-
sumption of work on this line at an
early day and a speedy completion of
the road.
Clerk J. V. Scott received a letter
yesterday from Representrtive W. F.
Kirby at Little Rock in which he
states that there are “lots of pretty
girls” up there and that he has made
his "first speech." Wonder whether
he made the aforesaid speech before
the Legislature or one of tha “pretty’
young ladies? Ten cents to a ginger-
cake that he has made more than one
“speech” to the latter.
The Sewerage question like “Ban-
no’s ghost” will not down. It is be-
ing constantly agitated and discussed
by our best citizens. A civil engineer
who has just completed a sewerage
system at Arkadelphia is here and
will look the ground over and make
estimates of cost etc. It will not be
near as expensive as it was once esti-
mated. By all means let us have
sewerage and as quickly as possible.
The entire community of Bonham
Tex. were shocked over the news
that Capt. M. W. Haskell a prominent
banker of that city had been found
dead in his bed at an early hour yes-
terday morning. Capt. H. was about
65 years of age and at the time of his
death was vice-president of the First
National Bank of Bonham. His sud-
den demise was deeply deplored by
the many friends and business associ-
ates of the deceased.

At the opera house next Wednes-
day night Mr. 11. Greenwall’s own
company will for the first time here
produce the new musical comedy
“Larry The Lord.” As “Larry” we
are once more enabled to greet our
old favorite R. E. Graham. This will
be his first appearance here since he
delighted so many play-goers by his
clever impersonation of “General
Knickerbocker” in “The Little Tycoon”
In his new comedy he will have an op-
portunity of judging his abilities as a
comedian the two characters being
entirely different. As “Larry” he im-
personates a light hearted joke-loving
Irishman not of the burlesque so of-
ten seen but a clean and neat perform-
ance of the true son of Erin. The
comedy is a novelty in its genuineness
having been adopted from the French
field offeree and combining all the
successful element of light opera with
the amusing situations of clean whole-
some comedy.
How’s Your Wife?
Does she feel poorly all the time

eral “no-account” listless enervation?

Poke Root and Potassium) the very

ble quietly and quickly ami before
you know it your wife will be anoth-
er woman and will bless the kind fate
that brought P P P to her
notice aud relief. Our best physi-
cians indorse aud recommend it and
no well-conducted household where
pure blood and its concomitant hap-
piness is appreciated should be with-
out it" For sale by reputable medicine
dealers everywhere.
Mr. Randall Pope the retired drug-
gist of Madison Fla. says [Dec. 31889]
he regards P P P [Prickly Ash Poke
Root and Potassium] as the best al-
terative on the market and that he
has seen more beneficial results from
the use of it than any other blood
medicine.
Exhausted vitality nervousness lost
manhood weakness caused by over-
taxation of the system will be cured
by the powerful P PP which gives
health add strength to the wreck of
the system.
Larry the Lord.
One of the novelties of the season
will be produced at the opera house
Wednesday night the 18th in the
shape of “Larry the Lord” a new mu-
sical comedy. It is said and the
press in general have borne out the
assertion that the comedy is a most
amusing one and it does seem proba-
ble to expect that a piece in which so
good a comedian as R. E. Graham is
the chief figure would be full ot laugh-
ter at least. His impersonation of
“Gencr ’ Knickerbocker" in “The Lit-
tle Tycoon” has delighted thousands
of play-goers. He is a quaint and
original comedian. His methods are
legitimate ami he is one of the most
conscientious of workers. He is said
to have in this new piece just the sort
of character which suited him. The
play is said to be just as strong in its
musical numbers as in anything else
one of the vocal features of which
much is expected is the new topical
song composed by Mr. Graham and
sung by him. It is entitled “1 Won-
der What Next They Will Do?" The
company supporting him includes
many capable people among them
Maud aj)d Mamie Cerbi both being
popular here. The fprppany is under
Mr. Henry Greenwall's management
ami will no doubt prove one of the
most profitable of his many invest-
incuts
The Dallas News says that the water
rate for that city is one dollar per
mouth for large residences while in
Waco the rate is less than one-third
as high hence there is much complaint
According to this the Texarkana water
company have been charging our cit-
izens exorbitant rates. We trust to
get a lower rate after the sale of the
water works here.
