Deafness Cannot be Cured
by local applications as they cannot
reach the disease portion of the ear
There is only one way to cure deaf-
ness aud that is by constitutional
remedies. Deafness is caused by an
inflamed condition of the mucous lin-
ing of the Eustachian Tube. When
this tube gets inflamed you have a
rumbling sound or imperfect hearing
and when it is entirely closed deaf-
ness is the result ami unless the in-
fl amation can be taken out and this
tube restored to its normal condition
I hearing will be destroyed forever;
nine cases out ten are caused by ca-
tarrh which is nothing but an in-
flamed condition of the mucous sur-
faces.
We will give one hundred dollars
for any case of deafness (caused by
catarrh) that cannot be cured by Hall’s

News comes from Fort Gibson I. T
that Henry Starr and his gang of no-
torious train robbers and bank wreck-
i ers are surrounded by deputy mat-
slials and a sheriff s posse at a point
on Bog creek about twenty miles
from Nowata the bandits’ home. Ln-
less the possee weakens Starr will be
taken either dead or alive. Some of
his pursuers are Cherokee Indians and
if necessary they will meet Starr in
open field with Winchesters. The re-
ward of $15000 is the cause of the
present active movement against the
bandits. Starr has six men with him
while the numbers twenty.
The citizens of Paris Tex. are pro-
ceeding without apparent difficulty
to raise the amotat of funds necessary
to construct a tabernacle and complete
other arrangements for a geeat re-
vival by Rev. Sam Jones. Now that
’ the members of our local Pastor’s As-
sociation have passed a unanimous
vote in favor of procuring the same
benefit for our city why should not
our people go to work with a will to
secure the desired end. Without any
comparison between the moral or
religious status of the two cities we
may safely assume that Texarkana
stands equally with her sister city in
need of a religious revival and is amp-
ly able to defray the necessary expen-
ses of same. Then by all means let
us secure it.
The North Pole and Equator
Are not more widely distinct than
the standard tonic stimulant and al-
terative Hostetter’s Stomach Bitters
and the cheap and fiery local bitters
I which unscrupulous vendors foist up-
. on the unwary as medicated prepara-
tions with remedial properties. The
latter are usually composed in the
main of half rectified alcoholic exci-
tants with some wretched drug com-
bined to disguise their real flavor and
are perfectly runious to the coats of
the stomach. Hostetter’s Stomach
Bitters on the contrary has for its
basis choice spirits of absolute purity
and this is modified and combined
with medicinal extracts of rare excell
euce and botanic origin which both
■ invigorate aud regulate the bowels
■ stomach and liver. They effect a rad-
ical change in the disordered physical
econorqy which is manifested by a
speedy’ improvement in the general
health.

Proprietors P P I’:
It becomes my duty to add my tes-
timonial to the wonderful curative
properties of P P P (Prickly Ash
Poke Root and Potassium.) Some
years ago I bruised my ankle on my
saddle stirup. From a little scratch
the place began to enlarge and contin-
ued until it was large as the palm of
my hand discharging pus aud expos-
ing part of the bone. I called to see
physicians and they pronounced it as
a fever sore and Incurable. It became
so badly’ swollen and so painful that I
tried bandage for relief until I secured
a rubber supporter for temporary re-
’ lief. I began to use internal reme-
dies trying several different kinds
without any apparent relief. I re-
solved to try PP P. which I did. As-
■ ter using one bottle the result was
i such that 1 continued until my sixth
bottle was used when my rubber sup-
porter was not further required as
the sore was completely healed and
swelling completely gone. I therefore
take pleasure in saying to the public
' generally that it is my belief from ac-
tual experience that the use of P P P
- if properly persisted in will cure any
case of impure blood or blood poison-
ing. Respectfully
