and capable painstaking men.
: Work on the new court house for
I Miller county is being pushed brave-
'ly forward. The contractors are to-
-1 day engaged In laying brick on the
foundation for the new building and
the work will from this time forward
be pushed with all possible dispatch.
The material to be used is of the best
quality and only skilled workmen are

and attractive structure.
I It might be well for us to say to our
readers not to confound the “Circus
; Queen” with other plays with the
name “circus” attached to them. Mat-
! tie Vickers’ play the “Circus Queen”
is an entirely new oue and has never
been seen south before. It is said to
! be and undoubtedly is the best of all
the circus pieces and will positively
be seen for the first time in this city
tonight at the opera honse.
Don’t miss it. It will be one of the
' finest things of the season.
As yet there seems no absolute clue I
as to the ideuty of the guilty perton I
i whose repeated attempt at incendiar-
ism have uroused the intense Indigna-
tion of our citizens. When the first
j attempt was made on the Hobgood
i build.ug It was thought that detection
! would speedily follow and in the
i hope of furthering the capture we
refrained from publishing an account
of the nefarious affair the details of
which were in our possession on Tues-
day. It is most earnestly to be hoped
that the guilty party may be captured
and dealt with to the full measure of
the crime.
