On Monday night the Georgia
Legislature by a vote of 94 to 9 re
jected a resoluti* n indorsing the
Cleveland administration. Resolutions
afterward adopted recite that without
censuring those in charge of the De-
mocratic machinery the free and un-
limited coinage of silver on equal
terms with gold as money of final
payment is the true Dcmociatic pol-
icy. The right of each state to pro-
vide for a circulating medium of o-
own through State banks is ulmi
asserted. A graduated income tax
is resolved upon us one of the card-
inal tenets of Democracy. The sens
tors and represenatives from that
State are finally called upon to be
governed by the ideas here set forth.
-Ex.
A monster meeting of Memphis
Democrats was held Saturday at
which a strong protest was entered
against the seemingly unwarrantable
lethargy of the administration in
displacing Republican office holders.
They demand that the patronage be
given to its rightful claimants—Dem
ocrata.and in this demand and protest
they voice the sentiment of the party
from east to west and from north to
south. No longer can any excuse be
offered for delays in this mailer. If
Democracy cannot expect justice at
the hands of those elevated to power
by it the result will undoubtedly be
defeat in the next campaign for men
will not labor longer for a faithless
party — Ex.
The European Powers continue to
strengthen their armaments and make
every preparation for war. Northern
and Centr d Europe is one vast mili-
tary camp. The strain is becoming
dreadfully painful mi l that fatal day
Win n that whole country will lie en
veloped in a llame of war cannot be
long defined When the dogs of wai
lire unleashed tin ic will be a tramping
of boat«n clash of :u ms and u slaugh-
ter of human beings trie like of which
man has not beheld since the dawn of
creation. And whim the curtain
chops upon the dreadful drama n
material revision and reconstruct ion
of Continental Eurofiewill lie in order
— \\ a-hington Telegraph.
TELL THE TRUTH.
Isn't It about time for the doctrin
aires and professors io take the stand
again and give the people some fresh
reason for the continued depression
in business mid for the low prices ot
cotton and wheat? Isn't it about
lime for the Democratic editors in the
South who assured the country that
the unconditional repeal of the pur
chasing clause of the Shcrmau act was
necessary to restore trade and busi-
ness lo their old channels of activity
and to renew all forms of industrial
progress to inform their readers why
these results have not been brought
about?
Would not it be well for these doe
trinuires and professors lo tell the
public frankly that the tight against
the Sherman law by the initialed was
solely for the purpose of establishing
the single gold standard? Would not
it lie well for the Southern editors
who wore aligned ou that side to tell
their readers in a burst of coniidenee
that they didn’t know or cure any-
thing about the effects of the Sherman
act but wanted to keep their places
close to the pie counter.—Atlanta
Constitution.
The great Georgia paper nobly
stood squarely by the people and for
silver and its remarks above are per-
tinent at this time. Downing sllvei
has not helped the linancial situation
one whit and though ‘repealers" may
say “wail" it does not mean anything
The damnable net placing this coun-
try upon a single gold standard has
been passed and is beyond recall or
amendment because its author and
father Grover Cleveland stands in I
the way with the power of veto.
Those Democrals who assisted in the
deed (to keep near the “pie counter”)
have forever stigmatized themselves
politically. All the “doctrinaires and
professors" can not explaiu or hold in
check the cry for bread and dire want
stalking throughout this country
Silver demonetization has already
borne bitter fruit in making thotis-
I ands upon thousands of additional
■ tramps and lieggara. A dire condi-
tion not a theory is upon us. Cleve-
land will be held responsible for les-
sening our money supply by having I
! silver demonetized together with I
■ those Democrats he bull-dozed into
1 voting for his “unconditional repeal"
bill.

Children of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Roller
Altoona Ta.
Both Had Eczema
In Its Worst Form
After Physicians tilled Hood's
Sarsaparilla Perfectly Cured.
Great mental agony is endured by
parents who see their children suffering
from diseases caused by impure blood ana
for which there seems no cure. This is
turned to joy when Hood's Sarsaparilla is
resorted to for it expels the foul humors
from the blood and restores the dis-
eased skin to fresh healthy brightness.
Read the following from grateful parents:
" To C. I. Hood & Co. Lowell Mass.:
i "We think Hood’s Sarsaparilla Is the most
' valuable medicine on the market for blood and
skin diseases. Our two children suffered terri-
bly with the
Worst Form of Eczema
for two years. We had three physicians in
that time but neither ot them succeeded In
curing them or even in giving them a little
relief. At last we tried Hood s Sarsaparilla
and in a month both children were per-
fectlr cured. We recommend
Hood’s Sarsaparilla
as a standard family medicine and would not
. be without it." Mr. and Mbs. M. M. Solleb
