WASHINGTON, Aug. 2. dr-

today in a farewell-to-Washington
statement that one of the reasons

“who consistently vote to main-

fathers. Thia was the form of gov-
ernment we had until 1932. The
only way, as I see it, to prevent
our government going the way of
all great nations of the past la for
the people to conduct a thorough
housecleaning in Washington.”
Senator O’Daniel announced lent

didate for re-election.

not running for re-election." he
said in today’s statement, ‘is the
fact that I consider ten yeara of a
man’s life a generoua contribution
to public service. Ia fact, I be-
bieve that every elected federal
official should be limited to one
term of not more than six yeara.”
