War Memorial
Dedication Set
SWEETWATER, Nov. 6. (RNS)
— Highlight of the Armistice Day
celebration here will be dedication
of the World War Memorial which
has been erected on the south side
of the Court House Square.
The memorial bears the names
of more than 85 Nolan County men
who died in the two World Wars.
Funds for the memorial were ap-
propriated by the Nolan County
Commissioners Court.
The American Legion, the Vet-
erans of Foreign Wars and the Dis-
abled American Veterans formed a
joint committee to help with plans.
Dedication will take place at
10:41 with Judge A. S. Mauzey as
principal speeaker. Preceding the
dedication, members of the Ameri-
can Legion, the VFW and the DAV.
together with the National Guard
unit, and the Municipal Band, will
parade around the square.

breakfast programs to open the

together at 11:30 a.m.

opens at the high school gymnas-

COLORADO Crry, Nov. 6.-
The American Legion will have
charge of traditional Armistice Day
services here and will join mem-
bers of the VFW and National
Guard in a parade. A supper will
be served all veterans at the Amer-
ican Legion but to close the day’s
activities.

STAMFORD, Nov. C (RNS)-Ar-
mistier Dey will be a business and
school holiday for Stamford, it has

BAIRD, Nov. A — Clyde Gris-
som. chief justice of the 11th Court
of Civil Appeals, Eastland, will be
chief speaker at a free noon bar-
becue which will be served by the

Baird.

the new American Legion hut. The
Baird High School band will play.
At 2:30 p.m. the annual "grudge"
game between Baird and Clyde will
be played at Bear Field here.
