Valley Mills does have a very
good ball club playing eleven
games, winning nine, tying one
and losing one, to a strong Class
A team, Clift, one that just got
beat out of Bi-District by For-
ney. The coach feels like the
game they won in Bi-District
last week over Crawford 6 to 0
has made his ball club much
stronger and they are all ready
for the Reg. III Championship
game with Carroll. Coach John
Smith’s Valley Mills Team is
led by Dick Owens and Green-
shaw, and have a very good
group of boys with seventeen
seniors on this ball club who
want to finish the season and
graduate champions of Reg. III
which they have not won in
several years.
Their offensive is led by two
very good backs and have scored
342 points in the last eleven
games for an average 31.1 points
per game and allowing only 82
points scored against them for
an average of 7.5 points per
game.
